The Southern Nevada Officials Association (SNOA) has been serving the Clark County School District (CCSD) and all NIAA affiliated schools since 1951.
Purpose
The purpose of the Association shall be to provide quality football officiating, to maintain and strive to improve football officiating through an education and training program; to promote fair play and sportsmanship among people involved in football contests; and, to encourage good fellowship among members of the Association and others interested in football.
SNOA provides field officials, chain crews, and clock operators for all 4A, 3A, 2A, and 1A high school football games in the Southern Nevada area. SNOA also provides field officials for youth football, middle school football and flag football programs. Traditionally, we have also provided officials for a Thanksgiving tournament that brings teams from all over the country to compete during that weekend.
Eligibility
Membership shall be available to any person interested in football officiating provided he/she fulfills the requirements of membership and has complied with the ethical standards of the Association. On-field football officials must be 18 years or older and out of high school. They are required to attend meetings and scrimmages for training and evaluation. They also must pass a test prepared by the National Federation.
Football Board
SNOA Football is run by a 5 - member Board, elected by the certified football membership, elections are held prior to each season with those elected 3-year term. The board then elects a Chairman.
